Troubleshoot magic link emails
What to do when your magic link does not arrive or has expired.
When you sign up or log in with email, Bytesize sends a one-time magic link instead of asking for a password. Selecting that link signs you in. If the email is slow to arrive or the link stops working, one of the fixes below almost always solves it.
Most common fixes
- Wait up to a minute. Magic links usually arrive within seconds, but delivery can lag during busy periods.
- Check the spam, promotions, and updates folders in your email. Automated sign-in emails often get filtered there.
- Search your inbox for Bytesize to surface anything a filter moved out of view.
- Make sure you entered the same email you used to sign up. A link sent to a different address will not log you into your existing page.
- Double-check the address for typos, such as a missing letter or the wrong domain. A link sent to a mistyped address never reaches you.
- Request a fresh magic link from the login page. Each link can only be used once and expires after a short window, so an older link will no longer work.
Still nothing?
If you have a Google account on the same email, select Sign Up with Google or Continue with Google to get in without waiting for an email. Otherwise email founders@mylinks.ai with the exact address you tried, and tell us whether you were signing up fresh or logging into an existing page. That helps us trace the delivery status faster on our side.
Open the magic link on the same device and browser where you started signing in when you can. Some email apps open links in an in-app browser that does not carry your session across, which can make the link look like it failed.
