My platform URL is not validating
When a YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, or store URL is rejected.
Common causes
- The URL is for a private or unlisted item — only public content can embed.
- The URL is shortened — paste the full canonical URL from the platform instead.
- The URL points to a search result, hashtag, or profile when the section expects a video, track, or post.
How to get a clean URL
- Open the item directly on the source platform.
- Use that platform's built-in Share or Copy Link option.
- Paste the result into Bytesize.
Troubleshooting
- It still will not validate
- Send the exact URL to founders@mylinks.ai with the section type you are adding. We can usually identify the issue from the URL pattern.
