My platform URL is not validating

When a YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, or store URL is rejected.

Common causes

  • The URL is for a private or unlisted item — only public content can embed.
  • The URL is shortened — paste the full canonical URL from the platform instead.
  • The URL points to a search result, hashtag, or profile when the section expects a video, track, or post.

How to get a clean URL

  1. Open the item directly on the source platform.
  2. Use that platform's built-in Share or Copy Link option.
  3. Paste the result into Bytesize.

Troubleshooting

It still will not validate
Send the exact URL to founders@mylinks.ai with the section type you are adding. We can usually identify the issue from the URL pattern.
