THE ALMIGHTY VIOLET THUNDER GUITAR COVER⚡️

So... Genshin Impact, eh? I’ve gotten numerous requests to cover music from this game over the years, so I guess this is somewhat overdue. Specifically, I covered this game because someone bemoaned on twitter that I hadn’t yet, so I asked them directly what they’d prefer to hear. They recommended this track, to which my editor Rachel @thunderesque thoroughly agreed (demanded) since she likes the character, and has even cosplayed in the past!

I did notice that the melody of this track is based on the old Japanese folk song “Sakura Sakura”, so I attempted to incorporate that motif into my arrangement in place of a particular section of the track that felt like it needed something. I hope you don’t mind this subtle change!!

Surprise! I wrote the Stream Starting BGM for VShojo’s newest member K9KURO! The track is titled “Cerberus”.

I was approached a while ago by VShojo about writing a BGM / stream starting theme for a new member that I knew nothing about. All they requested is that I write something in the style of DOOM: ETERNAL and that it have a cool guitar solo in it (which I’m pretty decent at).

Though... that first bit is no simple task; but I’m never one to turn down a challenge! I think I successfully captured the aforementioned aesthetic while combining it with my own sensibilities (to the best of my production ability, anyway). Overall I’m pretty happy with this track, especially given how incredibly daunting the task of “Make Something Sound Like Mick Gordon” is.
