Hello! @LumiFantasy here. Today I’m going to give you a quick walkthrough of how I combined photos of a field of sunflowers with a photo of a galaxy to create something golden! First, I opened my photo of the sunflower field and used a combination of Blend If and a mask as well as the brush tool to create a mask for the sunflowers. Next, I imported my galaxy image and used Free Transform to resize and reposition the image so that the eye of the galaxy was centered behind the sunflowers. Next I gave my galaxy image a more gold appearance by boosting the Reds and Blues followed by bringing down the Blues in a Curves adjustment layer. I also used another Curves adjustment layer to make the flowers more closely match the color of the galaxy. To create a rim light effect on the flowers I added a couple Inner Shadows in a light color and Color Dodge blending mode. Following that, using a combination of the Brush tool and Gaussian Blur along with Blending Modes, I created a strong focal point in the center of the galaxy by making it brighter. I next created a vignette effect using a shape with a black to transparency Gradient Overlay on it and gave it a semi-transparent mask so that the vignette would be darker at the bottom than at the top. Finally I sampled the color of the sunflowers using the Eyedropper tool and used a soft edged brush to paint some color over the galaxy giving it a vibrant yellow hue by putting them in the Overlay blending mode and boosted the color and brightness of the entire image with Curves and Vibrance/Saturation adjustment layers.
